Your health, your way: Making the most of your virtual care options
Navigating Healthcare
Your child woke up sick in the middle of the night, or you overdid it while working out this weekend, or sniffles and a sore throat are getting in the way of your day. When a health need happens, you need care on your schedule.
With 24/7 virtual care through MyBSWHealth, you can get care for minor illnesses and injuries anytime, including right now, late at night or even on the weekends. Using your computer or mobile device, MyBSWHealth lets you quickly connect with a provider who can diagnose and treat your condition—when and where it’s convenient for you.
Here’s how it works.
Virtual care allows you to have a routine visit via video with a primary care provider or specialist during their normal office hours. For more urgent needs, on-call providers are also available around the clock to treat a variety of conditions.
While some health concerns are best cared for through an in-person visit, virtual care could be a good fit when you or your loved one needs to see a provider for:
MyBSWHealth makes it easy to get virtual care with two options. Either complete a telehealth questionnaire—called an eVisit—or schedule a video visit where you can talk with a provider through your camera-enabled device.
Here’s how each option works.
Start an eVisit at any time, with no appointment or video needed. After you complete a five-minute health questionnaire, an on-call provider who has access to your electronic medical record will review your symptoms and medical history.
You’ll get a response in about an hour with your diagnosis and next steps. The estimated cost for an eVisit is $40, but your individual cost may differ based on your insurance coverage.
A video visit lets you have scheduled face-to-face conversation using video with your current provider, another local provider or a 24/7 on-call provider. This visit type is just like a normal office or urgent care visit, and the cost is based on your insurance coverage.
To help make your visit as smooth as possible:
With both options, you’ll get quick access to the care you need so that you can get back to your normal routine. All virtual care providers can diagnose conditions, recommend treatments and prescribe medications if needed to care for you.
If you want to get started with virtual care options, make sure you have a MyBSWHealth account first. To use virtual care for your child, you’ll want to request proxy access, which allows you to manage a minor’s account, ahead of time.
Once you and your family are set up with MyBSWHealth, you’ll be ready to get virtual care whenever you need it—24 hours a day, seven days a week.
